okay, so I'm driving to work today...cedar avenue southside mpls represent....and anyway, I'm following this big black Chevy Tahoe, and the truck has this bumper sticker:

"On the 8th Day, God Invented Flat-Coats"

does anyone know what the heck this is about? It's been driving me nuts.

Observe my current user name and you will see I am equally befuddled by another bumper sticker.

It's been driving me nuts.

That reminds me of the one about the pirate who walked into a bar with a steering wheel in his pants.

I reckon it's something to do with dog breeding.

How does one do an entire chapel?

The Ghost of Black Elegance (Dan Perry), Thursday, 18 August 2005 17:52 (twenty years ago)

Dan, that's something I figure we should be asking YOU.

Do the whole chapel, man!

Did the bumper sticker mean something 5 minutes ago that it doesn't mean now?

(The correct answer: Alphabetically.)

The Ghost of Black Elegance (Dan Perry), Thursday, 18 August 2005 18:27 (twenty years ago)

The only way I can reason it is if I say "Behold, I will do a New Thing, Chappelle!" But I'd just be denying the insanity of this New Thing I saw almost a month ago.

ten years pass...

I saw this one today, with an NRA logo.

Now.... I am just going to give a huge benefit of the doubt to this evil organization that doesn't deserve it, but I GUESS they mean this phrase in a sorta "give a man a fish, feed him for a day. teach a man to fish, feed for a lifetime" way, BUT...

It took me a good five or so minutes for me to finally reach that conclusion.

No I think it's more like a "hunting is a wholesome activity you can do with your kids and if you don't you'll wind up having to go looking for them among the junkies passed out in the alleys" sort of thing

Something to do with school shootings? Maybe like "guns are awesome if you hunt animals with them, but they suck if you hunt kids in schools with them".

the joke should be over once the kid is eaten. (chap), Monday, 5 October 2015 16:12 (ten years ago)

that would be a bizarre and presumably unnecessary message to put on a bumper sticker.

on entre O.K. on sort K.O. (man alive), Monday, 5 October 2015 16:13 (ten years ago)

"I'm against shooting children and I vote"

on entre O.K. on sort K.O. (man alive), Monday, 5 October 2015 16:13 (ten years ago)

It's about hunting for a mate to facilitate the birth of future hunting partners.

Or it's about you are so rugged and alpha that you regularly hunt for food and never take time to train your young in the ways of taking down the mighty mammoth.
