i saw this on the news last night. they interviewed the old soldier chappy (nils olav) and the interviewer said something along the lines of 'are you aware that some animal cruelty groups might not look favourably on sending an animal to the front line' and he responded with something along the lines of 'quite right old chap'. it cracked me up. cute penguin but not sure about why an army really needs a mascot?
