weekend plans!

Saturday: Australia v South Africa with Sister's SA boyfriend. Drinking and celebrating another victory for South Africa hopefully involving buckets of decent red wine. Dancing, please let there be dancing. Bed. Alone? Who knows...

Sunday: Walk, papers, call family, brunch, shopping for bookshelves, drink, dinner, drink.

Blimey! And here I was thinking I would have a nice, quiet weekend with nothing to do.

I'm so fucking sick of all of this. The second time the bank has fucked me up in the last month-and-a-half.

Maybe I'll just go to bed. Wake me up when the world is different, and better.

yeah, but it's not as bad as all that. we stand to do far better for far less doing it ourselves. there's something in that for everyone.

Tomorrow I'm going to Reading to see off a friend who's moving to Spain for a couple of years next week. I might get down there early and go to the Sound Machine record shop before we go out. The night will most likely involve playing table football, huge amounts of booze, and dancing to cheesy music down the After Dark Club.

Sunday I'll be going for a greasy spoon breakfast to sort out my hangover then back to London to clean the flat (boo).

I wonder if I will bump into Colonel Poo.

Obviously the bank must actually have your money (if they didn't there's no way they'd be able to credit it to your account tomorrow as the BACS system doesn't operate at weekends), and indeed they must know they've got it, so I'd be inclined to contact them immediately and tell them that seeing as this is all their fault, you expect:
- an automatic £1K extension of your O/D until the money's actually been paid in, with no charges or interest;
- interest at overnight money market deposit rates on the money they're depriving you of (this is only what they'll effectively be making on it after all!);
- compensation for the inconvenience and distress they've caused you (this has got to be worth a pony I reckon).

I'm finally leaving the dump for good after 42 years in 7 days time - and suddenly all these bright young things are talking about travelling down from London to nag out in the poxy After Dark club of all places!

Saturday I'm working, might buy some records and clothes. Sunday I don't know yet, I guess hang out around the house.

(Marcello - someone will buy you a drink later, right? and if the money will be in your account tomorrow, you might be able to get to it later *tonite!* depending on what time they do the transfers (your bank could tell you - talk to them!))

Options are, go to house party or stay at home and chill.

Tomorrow, shopping for business shoes that don't have holes in the bottom, clothes shopping with Cait, Kung Fu Hustle in the evening.

Sunday, cleaning and preparing lessons.

Used to live near Devizes - scene of the Battle of Roundway Down. The "bloody ditch" is worth a look. Also, IIRC there's a huge pie factory there.

Saturday: Watching the Poptimism Away Team DJ at Lara Byrne's sister's wedding.

Tonight: Er, I don't actually know. There was some confusion about the wedding date, so though I got super-cheap tickets a month ago to get me over to Poptimism and back, it was only this week that I realised that I could actually make it. On the other hand, accentmonkey and Bloke are going to be in town for drinks before eloping. On the other other hand, I've actually bought tickets to go to London. I'll just decide as the day goes on.

Tonight: Kliks allnighter - Brighton's finest minimal house night with liveset from Areal Records 'Metope' at Audio from10-4, followed by afterparty in illegal drinking den from 4 till whenever.

Tomorrow: Possibly a rather late emergence from bed, and then onto The Ocean Rooms who are hosting Glasgow's (and ILM regular 'Stirmonster's) Optimo night at The Ocean Rooms.

Sunday: Extreme recovery session I would imagine. Possibly involving sunday roast and beers.

Tomorrow daytime: into Weymouth shopping / wandering around aimlessly. I have to find my own leaving present from where I'm working now apparently, since they just consulted my gf and she told them no, actually a big fat diamond-encrusted gold fountain pen was a fuckin' stupid thing to buy me (as if they couldn't have worked this out for themselves!). I think the gf's lined up 1 or 2 more properties for us to look at too. Lunch probably either at Muffins (if we're in town) or The Spyglass (if we're not).

Tomorrow eve: almost certainly the Duke Of Edinburgh "House Of Sounds", the rockingest boozer in Weymouth, where (fingers crossed) there'll probably be a (surprisingly excellent) Rod Stewart tribute by a (thoroughly nice) chap called Johnny Mack, or failing that a (quite passable) Elvis / Buddy Holly tribute buy a guy called Andy Arnold. If it's not either of them and it's fuckin' Sunstroke again, I don't know where we're going, 'cos it doesn't look as if either Gothic Chicken / Lucky Bishops / Cheese, Steve Wilson or Freakcircus are playing anywhere. Nevertheless I think I can safely say that I shall managed to get nicely pissed and that we'll end up picking up a couple of burgers from Scoffers on the way home.

Sunday: lie in, probably go for lunch somewhere, probably the cafe at Portland Bill, mess about, drive back to Reading (almost certainly the last time I'll be doing that journey in that direction on a Sunday night, yay!).

Yes, I think I probably would. Help break the drunken stagger home up a bit too. I'll bear it in mind, should I have a mind left by the end of the evening. Be good to buy you an unofficial birthday pint though!

Sat: Farmers Mkt in Union Square, then buying a chair for my desk.

Sun: Eazay living / No plans / Hanging on the fire escape like a monkey.

tomorrow: get up early (hahahah), go to farmers' market, clean flat, laze about, go to pub with whoever's out and about.

sunday: go to perth to see my folks. eat enormous lunch at the kinloch lodge. come back home. go to optimo for first time in ages (we're too old to go clubbing unless we've got the next day off).

monday: nurse hangover. go to gym. do the happy dance of the not-at-work.

tomorrow I will go watch the old firm game then see "me you and everyone I know"

sunday I will laze about and read the paper perhaps do some washing

Tommorrow: Work in the AM, then go out in the afternoon and come home to watch UFC with friends

yes, first time in central london whilst shops were open for months. did the usual round of record and comic shops and bought a jacket to replace the one that's been falling apart for the last two years. home about 3. watched Pet Sematary (Tasha Yar AND Herman Munster!). ate. looked at ILE. you are here -< .

my sister/roommate and i woke up at the leisurely hour of 10 a.m. over coffee and tea (respectively), we decided to go shopping.

because we are awful awful children, we JUST NOW got our dad his father's day gift. we went to the nearest headshop to buy him a new pipe. yes, THAT kind of pipe. then we went to the bank to make our deposits, and then we headed over to the mall. we bought very nice clothes and shoes, all on sale. and then we had lunch. none of us spent over $50. that's good! now it's time to 1/2 sleep 1/2 watch some episodes of the twilight zone. (it is 2:44 p.m.)

Tomorrow I'm playing a gig at the B&G though I'm doing a Fear about it. :-(

Sunday I am recovering from said gig.

It's probably just as well it's a quiet one anyway, went to see the Pixies last night and it's my friend's wedding next Wednesday which will be massive so I need some rest!

tomorrow! we will probably have brunch, the rest of the day is tba.

sunday! late morning/early afternoon spent doing food not bombs and taking things to the local red cross. late afternoon, kickball.

monday! (because its a three day weekend) i will spend looking for the love of my life. and probably read some.
