… 6 weeks of unlimited DVDs from blockbuster online courtesy of Stella Artois. Every time I’m confronted with a huge choice of anything, my mind goes blank. I’ve been on the website and chosen a few already but that should only last a week.

Recommend me a film please.

I sat and listened to Tony wilson chatting along with the film.

I sat along with Hooky and Rowetta et al chatting along while watching the film and having an early beer.

I haven't sat and listened to Steve Coogan. Is it worth it?

christ knows, mark: all i've done so far is watch the character bio things, the deleted scenes and half the hooky/rowetta stuff. i'm looking forward to the wilson commentary, but coogan ... hmm, he'll probably just talk about how he's looking forward to having sex with courtney love.

Rikyu - most breathtakingly gorgeous film I've ever seen.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 23 August 2005 13:25 (twenty years ago)

The wilson one is recommended for various reasons. Particularly hearing a grown man point out that the little poster on one of the walls advertises a gig for the band that's just forming.

The director's cut of Donnie Darko is worth a peek if you haven't already seen it and if you like Watership Down.
