On ILE nobody says 'rub' for rubbish any more

It used to be a feature here, but I suppose ILE has progressed beyond it. Do they still say this on ILM? Or has 'rub' gone the way of all earthly things, like Grandpa Simpson calling nickels "bees"?

What other once popular terms (or 'lingos') have gone tits up in the long history of ILX?

Oh man it's only now that I know that it was short for rubbish. I'm such an idiot. I knew what it sort of meant but never knew where it came from. *beats head against wall*

I occasionally still use "rub", also "k-lame", but I don't post all that much.

I did thing about titling one of my pieces of music "geezers kiosk", I dunno. Probably best ask gareth first.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Sunday, 28 August 2005 11:31 (twenty years ago)

david acid (gareth), Sunday, 28 August 2005 11:58 (twenty years ago)

Hello Gareth!

Can I call one of my pieces of music "geezers kiosk", please?

(if you don't want me to, that's ok, obv.)

Pashmina (Pashmina), Sunday, 28 August 2005 13:08 (twenty years ago)

Gareth? Yoo hooo! You there?

Aimless (Aimless), Sunday, 28 August 2005 22:44 (twenty years ago)

Isn't this just because Starry Sarah doesn't post as much?

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Sunday, 28 August 2005 22:47 (twenty years ago)

The Scooby Choice isn't mentioned much anymore. I don't think we even identify Xanders and Bezzes much, these days.

Isn't this just because Starry Sarah doesn't post as much?

More's the pity.
