I played a lot of NHL 2K5 today. I put game speed on the highest and mowed over players with gusto. I played as the 2000 New Jersey Devils against the 1998 Washington Capitals. I got into about 12 fights with Steve Konowalchuk. Scott Stevens didn't participate nearly as much as I'd hoped.

i think Wiggy's looking for something more along the lines of:

I have six months to live. :-)

amon (eman), Sunday, 28 August 2005 04:50 (twenty years ago)

it's the beginning of the end of the summer. Day lilies and sunflowers are blooming away. The mornings are cool, temperature wise. That means its ok to take a warm bath again.
Everything smells good - the air is clearing from the hot,hot and humidity. it's a really lovely time of year, when you sort of race to fit in whatever fun you should have had during the summer, but also appreciate the end of it.
I hope that's light enough for ya!

aimurchie (aimurchie), Sunday, 28 August 2005 05:03 (twenty years ago)

This afternoon I got a very special telephone call from an old friend I hadn't seen in over ten years. We chatted about the usual things old friends chat about as I watched the activity in the park outside my window. Along with the usual joggers and photographers, a bear stood up on hind legs exposing a spectacular shaved pubic area for the whole world to see.

Park Pete, Sunday, 28 August 2005 06:07 (twenty years ago)

That is a fantastic story! Was it a he bear or a she bear? Spectacular shaved pubic areas are notoriously better for the he-bears. I can't remember the last time I saw a bears vagina!
Were the usual joggers and photographers frightened by the bear? How did your friend feel?
My day feels really boring in comparison.

When you marry, my son, do not make an idol of your wife. The more you worship her, the more she will want to be worshipped.-- Winnebago wisdom

My Sabbath day post. My question: is this the indian or the trailer?

pepektheassassin (pepektheassassin), Sunday, 28 August 2005 14:41 (twenty years ago)

Do not make an idol of your wife VS. don't put the pussy on a pedistal.

The Original Jimmy Mod: Kind Warrior (The Famous Jimmy Mod), Sunday, 28 August 2005 14:48 (twenty years ago)

Hi Pepe! it's nice to see you on an awful thread. I don't quite get the quote - but I am a bear of very small brain.Tell me more.

aimurchie (aimurchie), Sunday, 28 August 2005 17:52 (twenty years ago)

I'm listening to real audio clips of Todd Edwards mixes from 1xtra. I'm bopping.

Worship your lovely wife each day
Or you will pay and pay and pay

Beth Parker (Beth Parker), Sunday, 28 August 2005 18:44 (twenty years ago)

Happy wife = happy life

And a friend of mine attempted to use "KWIJIBO" in Scrabble the other day. Hilarity continues...

Big Loud Mountain Ape (Big Loud Mountain Ape), Sunday, 28 August 2005 19:10 (twenty years ago)

I once dated a kwijibo master.

Beth Parker (Beth Parker), Sunday, 28 August 2005 21:15 (twenty years ago)

I still don't get it. Sigh. maybe i should have gone to church today.
So...my new neighbors rolled up my car windows when it started to rain!
That's pretty lite and fluffy.

Matt DC, you win.

I am itching my beard like a crazy man. Also too much coffee, big pupils, sock feet. This is my day.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Sunday, 28 August 2005 23:02 (twenty years ago)

I am itching my beard like a crazy man

You must clearly remove it, to prevent sorrow.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 28 August 2005 23:08 (twenty years ago)

My second question of the day: why don't indians have beards? You never see Chief Seattle or Crazyhorse looking like either of the Smith Brothers or like Walt Whitman. Wouldn't that look funny--Crazy Horse flying across South Dakota on his trusty steed, his long long beard waving in the wind behind him....

pepektheassassin (pepektheassassin), Sunday, 28 August 2005 23:18 (twenty years ago)

Ohmigawd, Mr. Big Loud Mountain Ape, you owe your friend an apology!
RESULTS: 1 - 10 of about 7,980 for kwijibo.

Kwijibo is a fun, easy to learn word online word game developed in the BYOND system
... You can host your own Kwijibo games by simply downloading the files...

Kwijibo. Start with a Trapeze. Pop the yo-yo straight up and cross your hands,
hitting your throwhand into the string just below the yo-yo.

I take it back. I NEVER dated a kwijibo master.

Beth Parker (Beth Parker), Sunday, 28 August 2005 23:21 (twenty years ago)

Aimurchie, hello. The quote's from a book I bought at Fort Clatsop (there's a laugh in that somewhere) of "Native American tradition of spoken history...I just thought it was funny, kinda. Well, maybe not as funny as I thought.
