When can we have a Jersey City/Hoboken FAP?

I say we do a weekday evening, not too late (8pm?) at The Merchant or some other such bar. I'm free pretty much any weeknight, but if you have conflicts please post.

By the way, JC is a bit of a haul from Princeton, just to warn you. I think it's about an hour and a half's drive.

an hour and a half drive. or an hour and a half by train (princeton to princeton exchange, then NE extension to newark penn, then the PATH to wherever in JC).

Also please suggest locations. Jersey City doesn't have the greatest bars on the planet. The Merchant is ok by me. I like the wine bar next door, but it might be too small and too fancy-schmansy for a FAP.

Maxwell's in Hoboken might also be a possibility, though parking is a bitch and it's not that close to the PATH.

I really don't like LITM or White Star (the latter has an obnoxiously loud and tinny stereo), and I'm not that familiar with the various dives in town.

We could also do BYOB outdoors at Rachel, which is on the next block. It's sort of a quasi-mid-eastern salads and sandwiches place. Food is pretty good.
