Well, one of his def'ns of paradigm ("exemplar") is that use of a paradigm is a form of mimicry. Is that close enough? (E.g., Scientist A's solution to Problem A becomes Scientist B's model for attempting a solution to Problem B, which means he's using Solution A as his model, but he has to give it features relevant to new Situation B.)
