Here's an overwhelmingly dense one that I like: http://www.miqel.com/index.html

Gah, there's one site I remember seeing with enormous imagemaps of Mao, Bush, Coke, McDonalds... It was wild, but I can't remember the address for it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

this isn't one of the WORST websites i've seen, but for a school that specializes in art and design it's pretty pathetic:

http://www.pratt.edu/

is 360 degress hip hop still around?

shookout (shookout), Saturday, 17 September 2005 07:13 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Pratt is embarrassing. How do they compete with SVA and the New School is beyond me. "We ask for outrageous sums of money! Look at our website -- it sucks!"

Oddly, this is common with people who ask for lots of money. See Block-Guest jewelry!

fuck that pratt one is bad - thanks! also the miquel one! can i get one with bad color sense pls?

i think they actually reorganized it since the last time i saw it, but it still gives me that "what the fuck am i looking at?" feeling.

someone posted a link to the Sing Sing website over on ilm. it's one of those done all in flash, which is bad enough. this one had the added feature that unless the mouse was exactly over one of the black pixels in the textual hyperlinks when you clicked it the link wouldn't work.

Innocent little Kacey's locker was found with a bag of pot. She said she was just holding it for a friend but wouldn't give up a name. When I brought the police and her parent's up she sang like a bird and sucked me off to keep my mouth shut... But I dont make promises I only break them. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL EPISODE

The WORST website ever.

walter kranz (walterkranz), Monday, 19 September 2005 05:28 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

I don't know, it isn't that bad. It seems very w3c, and it doesn't have any animated gifts or scrolling / blinking text. Plus, the information is moderately well organized. The site contains zero bullshit and zero window dressing.

what he said

s/c (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 19 September 2005 05:35 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Well, I wasn't referring to the design so much as the content. I guess the joke doesn't make sense if you don't know who Jacob Neilsen is and haven't had to work with insufferable fuckers who take his word as gospel.

walter kranz (walterkranz), Monday, 19 September 2005 06:03 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

I kind of want to seen Gawker and the whole Gawker family either blown up or file chapter 7. I think they represent a pre-9/11 mentrality and more importantly this is a step backwards for Jess, who I like.

http://www.mademan.com/chickipedia/

An actress's wikipedia had a link to her IMDb (sure) and a link to her "chickapedia" profile (huh??)

The websites has a geeky breakdown of a celebrity "hot girl": her bust-size, tattoos, and hobbies et al. If you look at the pages for male actors -- Joseph Gordon Levitt, for instance -- it just has "Hot Girls He's Hooked Up With," and a link to the famous women he's dated (0 fwiw) and the number of "chicks he's been in movies with"

Here's comedic actress Casey Wilson's "breakdown":

Hobbies
Singing Writing
Assets
Big Beautiful Eyes Sense Of Humor Tall & Curvy Cute Face etc etc
Vices:
Alcohol
