You've just heard about it?

I cant say I've seen any such reports on Australian news - where's their proof?

I'm not sure, this just came in an email and I was wondering if anyone else has heard and could should some light on it.

Rumpie, Friday, 23 September 2005 09:19 (twenty years ago)

Proof of what? Isn't this news about a week old?

Raymond Douglas Dadaismus (Dada), Friday, 23 September 2005 09:20 (twenty years ago)

It's hard for them to be considered food of love when your Bloke turns out to be allergic, so instead of having a romantic moonlit walk on the beach on Magnetic Island, you're standing around fending off bush curlews while Bloke borks up loudly for an hour and a half.

Wait, I have posted that to the wrong thread.

What I meant to post to this thread was - even if that is old news, I haven't heard it either. Can someone give me the potted version, or am I just going to be given a bunch of links to the BBC website?

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Friday, 23 September 2005 09:28 (twenty years ago)

I'm having lots of fun trying to figure out what this thread's about without clicking on the link first.

What I heard from the BBC news and from newspapers, was that two British Undercover agents had been caught and kidnapped by Iraqi police and consequently freed in a 'daring rescue mission' by crack British troops.

I saw the tank being set alight and soldiers being stoned, but what is news to me is that the kidnapped agents were trying to provoke, well, what were they trying to provoke?

WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE?

You talk as if you've never read a word of Andy McNab!

Raymond Douglas Dadaismus (Dada), Friday, 23 September 2005 09:40 (twenty years ago)

I have though, I've read one of his book titles in passing.

Rumpie, Friday, 23 September 2005 09:46 (twenty years ago)
