You say it was nice but now you want to get ride of it? Personally I would suggest shaving it all off. Also, if you let us have a before and after pic PLEASE.

some real advice: i'd wait a while before changing it, because black hair dye always looks harsh at first, but then the excess dye washes out as you shampoo your hair over the next few weeks. once it looks more normal, you'll be able to tell whether you still want to dye it another color.

You know this actually made me think of a pointless question I was wondering the other night. Why is it that the back of hair dye boxes, where it shows "Your Color Results!", does it always say, "If your natural color is..."? What does it matter what my natural color is, shouldn't it just say "current color"? This seems purposefully misleading, I mean surely if you bleached your hair blonde or you dyed it black, no amount of throwing other at-home dyes on top of it is going to really result in these perfect tones on the box, all strangely suited for "light to medium brown hair".

Well, anyway, I don't expect anyone will have a good answer for this but it was annoying me the other day, so I thought I would share.

I once heard that it's best not to go from blonde to black (and vice versa) because it's too *harsh* on your hair.

I want red hair with white dots.
