I'm doing a DJ gig the Friday night, but I'll likely be a bit on the tired side on Friday daytime, but I'll be free portions of that day.. and I'll surely be free for daytime stuff on Saturday, less tired, more vocalizin' and socializin', etc.

More info on the DJ gig soon!

More info here

Looks like I'll be doing two 30 minute sets split amongst the two in-house DJs, Lenlow and DJ BC. I don't know what times yet. It's from 10pm to 1am.. so there ya go.

Again, Saturday is a good FAP day. I believe Dan Perry is in. Anyone else?

Will you be playing some "Boston Bounce?"

Revive! Any chance of FAPage on Saturday? (not necessarily similar to FROTTage, but neither is necessarily out of the question)

I'm only playing Mighty Mighty Bosstone mash-ups, as they invented ska... after Madness did the first time.

Planet Records in Kenmore Square
Nuggets in Kenmore Square and Coolidge Corner
Second Coming (halfway between Central and Harvard Squares)
Looney Toones (2 spots-near Berklee and near Central Square), Cheapos in Central Square (this and twisted are my top picks)
CD Spins (upper Newbury Street) decent.
Mystery Train (Harvard Square)
In Your Ear (Comm Ave in Allston)
Stereo Jack's (midway between Porter and Harvard
Squares on Mass Ave), which specializes in jazz and blues
20% off sales at the Harvard Coop.

So, if I stick to Cheapo's and Twisted Village, I'm pretty much set? Any good dance and/or hip-hop stores around, or at least places that has a good stack of thst stuff used aside from some of the above stores mentioned?

Second Coming & Mystery Train have closed and I believe Nuggets might be gone too. Twisted is indeed the best. There is a dance store (Satellite) near newbury although it sells a lot of prog-house/trance stuff. Skippy White's (in Central Sq, Cambridge) has mostly soul & hip hop I believe. There's also the Undergroundhiphop.com store on Huntington Ave.

ok, last night rooled if anything because I got to see Ghost Of Dang reenact the "Thriller" dance moves succinctly and accurately, which got applause from the crowd! Two orange whips, a Humongous tall glass of White Russian, and a Pumpkin Ale later, and.. yeah.. last night rooled.. and this is just the tip of the FUN iceberg. but let's just say I slept in laaaate. aie.

I got more record store coverage done yesterday than expected! I only hit three stores, but I think it was enough.. Twisted, Newbury's, and Cheapo.. the latter of which goes down in history for longest delay at a ring-up ever.. (the guy was doing the ticker tape thing for the first time, and was cussing up a storm, apologizing to me non-stop..this took 20 minutes at least).. but it was goes down in history because I could finally find John Fahey's second Christmas album, and the "Electric Avenue" 12"... GREAT store!
