Has Stevie Wonder EVER ran?

Rumpie, Wednesday, 19 October 2005 10:00 (twenty years ago)

ran whilst dancing and playing the piano, and composing marvellous songs in his head, I'd imagine. He's a multi-talented marvel.

I'd only be able to do this on a deserted runway, alone.

What, to get in touch with your "blind" side? Or just for fun?

saleXander / sophie (salexander), Wednesday, 19 October 2005 10:11 (twenty years ago)

just BECAUSE!!

I think I read a self-help book that told you to do this once. I didn't do it. I can't help myself.

I believe this game is called "Where am I now?"

dog latin (dog latin), Wednesday, 19 October 2005 10:16 (twenty years ago)

Oooooohhhh this is like that trust game where you close your eyes and are pushed back and forth between two other people. It's a good way to find out who your REAL friends are.

saleXander / sophie (salexander), Wednesday, 19 October 2005 10:19 (twenty years ago)

I was once on an outward bound character building type thing and one of the exercises was to be blindfolded and run full pelt across a big field. My friends/colleagues shouted "left a bit" and "right a bit" at me to enable me to get to the other side safely and thus demonstrated that I could entrust them with my life.

The guy no-one liked was encouraged into a huge muddy puddle which he fell face first into and we all laughed. Team building brings out the latent bully in all of us.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Wednesday, 19 October 2005 10:21 (twenty years ago)

That was a bit mean but very funny. Such exercises would be more complicated if one has difficulties telling the difference between left and right though and cannot even see their paw to make the "L" sign. Not naming names.

zappi, what's that film? it was also the first thing i thought of but i can't remember the name of it. (lots of blindfolded running and crossing roads, russian roulette etc in order to find the world's luckiest person.)

koogs (koogs), Wednesday, 19 October 2005 10:42 (twenty years ago)

nine years pass...

used to get weird rushes of blood that led to moentary blindnesa when going full tilt, I have three good scars across my forehead as a result.

the worst of which was earned by my winning a schoolyard race but continuing onwards twenty yards past the finish and straight into the actual school, which is still the funniest and bloodiest thing some of my oldest friends have ever seen, apparently.

while out of it on the ground I wept, asked for last rites and asked a girl I'd fancied for a good three months to marry me.

I was fifteen ffs.
