T/S: Bold vs Italic vs Underline

Which do you prefer as a style for emphasis? What rules do you use to determine when to use Bold, when to use Italic, and when to Underline?

And a dark horse (bright horse??) entry for

highlight?

I have not one, but two self-styled "brazen broads" who type in all caps and seem to think it's really funny. I like both of them okay, but I seriously want to delete them for this reason.
