From ScreenSelect, for "American Psycho":

"Why is this film in the gay/lesbian section when the characters, plot and script make no reference to homosexuality (if they did, it must have been so fleeting and miniscule that I missed it). Does somebody at ScreenSelect think that the definition of homosexual is 'psychopathic killer'? Incidentally, the film is all superficial style over substance, and nastily cynical as well."

I read it as an accusation (by ScreenSelect admittedly) that homosexuals are superficial, sytle over substance, and nastily cynical...

Isn't it just not realizing that one of the writers of the screenplay also wrote and starred in the lesbian film Go Fish?
