They have the faces of FRUIT BATS. Which I'm finding very creepy.

Like gods, we have created them and judge them.

The lady across the street has a cute bulldog puppy. His ears aren't cropped, I don't think. That does make a difference, it seems...

M. V. (M.V.), Friday, 21 October 2005 15:14 (twenty years ago)

English Bulldogs aren't supposed to have cropped ears. French Bulldogs do not have cropped ears, they stand up naturally. I think Boston Terriers have cropped ears, though.

Allyzay knows a little German (allyzay), Friday, 21 October 2005 15:15 (twenty years ago)

let's face it, any bulldog looks better in a turtleneck and a bowler hat

strongo hulkington's ghost (dubplatestyle), Friday, 21 October 2005 15:17 (twenty years ago)

laurel, that was EXACTLY my first thought - OTMMMM!

petesmith (plsmith), Friday, 21 October 2005 15:18 (twenty years ago)

I was thinking the other day that maybe the whole thing about them revolves around the ugliness. Like they're ugly, but then they act like adorable little puppies, and so you get that whole Cute Monster effect -- that whole thing where like a Hello Kitty werewolf would be totally cuter than Hello Kitty itself. Cute Monsters are really wonderful.

nabisco (nabisco), Friday, 21 October 2005 15:19 (twenty years ago)

"a Hello Kitty werewolf" = no more Buffy FOR YOU. Haha.

Laurel (Laurel), Friday, 21 October 2005 15:20 (twenty years ago)

I think the idea you are thinking of, nabisco, is "Monster Rancher"

I spit on one the other day after it startled me with a hellish growl. What was pretty hilarious is that he jumped up to catch it with his mouth! He missed, so I gave him another shot. Bingo! Good boy.

I have a bulldog and I am highly incensed at some of the comments on this thread. I wish she could fart in your general direction.

Yes, it's fun to put things on her.

I can't decide if I want a french bulldog or Icebat more.

luna (luna.c), Saturday, 22 October 2005 01:16 (twenty years ago)

Icebat is cheaper in the long run. And short run, probably.

Jimmy Mod wants you to tighten the strings on your corset (The Famous Jimmy Mod), Saturday, 22 October 2005 01:18 (twenty years ago)

I know a person who has a daughter and a pug.

One he has named Gertie, the other Thisbe.

I'm not saying which is which.
