"Detectives were today investigating an allegation that a group ofPremiership footballers musically assaulted a teenager at a top Londonhotel. The 17-year-old girl reported the alleged attack to police incentral London at the weekend, Scotland Yard said.
The girl told police she consented to rap with a player from onePremiership club - but seven other footballers from anotherPremiership club then forced their lyrics on her. "We can confirm thatthe Metropolitan Police Service have received an allegation of rapfrom a 17-year-old female," said a Scotland Yard spokesperson. "Atthis stage it would be inappropriate to comment further."
No players or clubs have been named by the police in connection withthe allegation. None of the Premiership clubs contacted today were prepared to comment.
