the last thing i saw charlotte rampling in was wings of the dove, i think. that was a while ago! she was great in Orca obviously. and Zardoz.

Orca & Zardoz would make a lovely double-feature.

last movie i saw genevieve bujold in was eye of the beholder! a completely awesome and incomprehensible fever dream of an ashley judd movie that will make you think you are on drugs. i love that movie.

her double feature should be tightrope and dead ringers.

no wait, Coma & Tightrope. (i would have the world's worst rep house.)

Genevieve Bujold. So many great performances: Coma, Tightrope, Choose Me, The Moderns, Dead Ringers (her very best).

Rampling was wonderful in Stardust Memories and Under the Sand

Orca vs. Swashbuckler... I remember Bujold being supersexy in the latter, but it got horrible reviews.

I was wondering when someone might address CR's dumb remarks in the context of her role as a tropical sexual tourist in Heading South:

And this great performance may not have been possible if the content of the movie did not go through the actress’ head like a ray of light through a vacuum.

three weeks pass...

Charlotte Rampling will star “in a film adaptation of Jane Austen’s never-before dramatized final novel Sanditon. Jim O’Hanlon (A Hundred Streets), director of the 2009 BBC TV adaptation of Austen’s Emma, will direct from a script by British playwright Simon Reade.”

Rampling’s also lined up, along with John Rhys-Davies and Josh Hartnett, for Lech Majewski’s Valley of the Gods, which, according to Deadline‘s Ali Jaafar, “intertwines the stories of the richest man on earth, an ancient Najavo legend and writer John Ecas (Hartnett), who possesses an unbridled imagination....”
