It's a photo, a male angel (not an Athena type I don't think)

He's not your typical hunky angel pic guy, I kind of remember his hairline receding slightly, he's (maybe) a little rotund and frowning slightly.

From what I can remember this was a famous(ish) photo - I saw it in a newspaper. I have no idea who the artist was.

Skant, yeah, but so's my memory.

I think it was a black and white photo if that helps at all.

He looked somewhat huffy, he may have had his chin in his hands...

joe - it looks similar, but the one i saw, i dont know, i seem to remember it differently - the wings appeared to be absolutely massive and i thought they were complete.

Aaron, just do a Google Image Search for either sad angel or weeping angel, you'll find lots of similar pics. Maybe the one you're looking for is among them?

Looking for a mildly disturbing pic of The Violent Femmes sitting in (if memory serves) a barber shop with their forearms stuffed into large fish.

I was really sure it was used as the cover to Blind Leading The Naked, but I can't find it anywhere.
