Does it ultimately cheapen the movie itself? Examples: "Human see, human do" and "Beards? Oh I don't go in for fads," etc. The woman and I are arguing, pointlessly, over this. Curse you, Netflix!!!

actually, no! It's the other way around. She was seeing it for the first time (sheltered childhood etc etc) and i was defending it with great nostalgic fervor

It's a bit adolescent yeah, but that's why people first love the movie if they see it when they're 11; h'ray, nostalgic fervor! I do like the way Cornelius and Zira kiss, tho.
