Anybody with them?

Free landline calls to anybody else on Talk Talk? It sounds too good to be true so it possible is.... I don't know any other person who uses them.

I swapped over to Talk Talk about 18 months ago, when they were offering a deal for free telephone calls to the USA and Australia, plus free UK landline calls after 6pm and all day at weekends. I still pay my line rental to BT, but pay Talk Talk (the Carphone Warehouse) for my calls.

They've been absolutely fine. I don't know how they make any money, because my quarterly bills for calls = about £1

I think I'm paying too much for my BT line rental so I'm scoping for a better SP.

Yeah, me too, so any stories would be appreciated.

BT line rental is £10.50 a month standard no?

For some reason I'm paying shed loads more. I don't know what kind of package I have but I'm paying around £90 a quarter. I've got free landline calls after 6pm and I rarely use the phone... I'll need to look into things.

Maybe you have BT Together or some other package. I want the bare minimum too. Last time I tried they talked me out of it.

It's called "talk talk"?

Yes. Is it a laughing stock?

>>>Free landline calls to anybody else on Talk Talk

This is not a new thing. Lots of BT-alternatives offer this (free calls to others on their service), it's quite normal.

I now work for Talk Talk, I suppose. They just bought the company I work for, although rebranding hasn't taken place yet. The telecoms industry is ridiculous for this. I've now worked for 3 companies in the last 2 years, in the same job. Hopefully when I leave (in May) I'll get a job in some other industry...

two months pass...
My dad rang me asking if I thought he should sign up with the new phone+broadband £30 a month thing. They said there's been such demand that he won't be connected till August but apart from that, do you think it's a good deal? Are they prepared to cope with the volume or do you think you can expect crap levels of service?
