Is everyone breaking up or am I a narcissistic wiener?

I have had two fairly important relationships end in a pile of crumbs and yelly cryish stuff in the last few months. I have witnessed quite a few people that seemed well-suited, empathetic creatures call it quits in the last few weeks. Is this isolated to my self-important, teeny world or are you all noticing this around you as well? If so, what goes? Moon? Free-masons?

season change? it seemed like all my friends started relationships in the fall, they start to fall apart around new year's. these were pretty short relationships obviously.

You draw patterns and inferences from your own psyche, innit? That's not so much narcissism as the inevitability of being locked inside yourself. I doubt there's a statistical trend.

It seemed like that for a little while, but then they all got back together. So buck up, Johnny.

yeah, it's called "winter."

this reminds me of how when a couple of celebrities happen to die in the same week everyone goes on about how weird it is that everyone just started dying at once.

You have to grab happiness while you can. That's my motto.

Statistically, January is THE month for relationships breaking up - FACT. Beginning of a New Year and all that rot...

how old are you, cunkle? when i was in my early-mid-twenties (that'll be about 24, then) there was an outbreak of break-ups among almost everyone i knew of roughly the same age: friends, colleagues, all sorts.

(it wasn't my fault, i should add. at least, i don't think it was.)

being cooped up with someone you can't stand is a no good

i, personally, am taking this time to search deep within my soul, and also to make my wrist sronger. (so i can play tennis in the spring.)

No, everyone's getting married, keep up!

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 31 January 2006 18:47 (twenty years ago)

i thought everyone was getting knocked up?

Special Agent Gene Krupa (orion), Tuesday, 31 January 2006 18:48 (twenty years ago)

"wiener" could be just about right.
"narcissistic" may not evem enter into it.
("it" might, or mightn't,="equation")

signed (not),

FUCK! I've noticed this too! A whole whack of relationships (mine included), that have lasted a few years at least, came to an abrupt end last month!

The way I understood things to work was that people normally split up in the spring so they could be sluts all summer.
