Drycleaning or lack thereof

Do you ever where a wool garment for years without properly drycleaning? I do.

I have an old pair of military wool trousers that I haven't drycleaned in about 5 years that I'll still wear occasionally in cold weather. I also have a Pendleton shirt that I've had since new for about 4 years and I've never cleaned it. Neither smells, just sort of woolish. Nobody's made a comment yet.

But you're secretly worried?

What about this green drycleaning thing? Do I need to drive across town to the only local cleaner I know that does this (and do I risk cancer at a regular one?)

the problem with regular drycleaners isn't so much the risk of you getting cancer, it's the risk of the entire town getting cancer

supposedly since the remediation began the current level of contamination has sunk low enough that its only one additional case of cancer per million people but still, scary!
