Hehe, I found out last night that my friend's thirteen-year-old daughter thinks that anyone who uses MySpace and who is over 25 is a pervert. (I'm going to try to add her to my friends and freak her out.)

What is acceptable bedroom wall adornment after the age of, say, off the top of my head, 23? And no longer a student.

I don't have anything on my bedroom walls (except paint) since I don't usually watch the walls while I'm asleep/in the dark.

I have loads of nude females hanging on our bedroom wall. I mean, drawings and pics, not the real thing.

maybe the real thing is the way forward for me. although that would probably be the kinda behaviour that would get me featured in a late night program on channel5 with an american voiceover. and I can't get channel 5 here.

at the moment I have a poster for the club night I used to put on, a poster from the guinness ad where the girl with the vampish black bob is drinking it, and a selection of interesting photos I have taken over the years. most of them don't have people in them. lots of bare wall space too.

I have a friend on LJ who, when redecorating and painting his bedroom, did this thing whereby he did diecut text all over one wall of... get this.... the names of all his fave LiveJournal pals. Like, their LJ names. All over one wall.

I can't decide wether that is awesome (I mean it looks cool!) or completely twisted!

After the age of 30 I decided not to have any posters up any more on my bedroom wall. I love my blue coloured walls.

However

I do have a million GTA posters up on the lounge.

My gig tickets are all kept in a carrier bag somewhere in the spare room

I don't really get why when you get to a certain age you're not allowed posters any more. Not that I have any come to think of it, all the pictures on our walls are my wife's! We do have a board with a load of my old gig tickets on it though. Somewhere. I don't think it's actually on a wall at the moment.

Haha, my fifteen year old sister was freaked out that I'd seen her webpage (particularly as I left stern older brother comments regarding homework and what have you). She'd made no connection between putting this thing up on the net and people, y'know, reading it.

I do have a couple of band posters in my living room though. But they're framed, since I'm 35 and not a student anymore. (?)

I do have an Andy Warhol film poster. Never managed to put it up. Me lazy.

haha this still happens all the time! i used to work for a company which ran a business database and we'd habitually grab company info from the relevant website and then call the number we found - the guys would invariably say "hey! where did you get my name and job title? that website's not for you! the information is for clients only..."

THEN DON'T PUT IT ON THE MOST PUBLIC INFORMATION EXCHANGE ON THE PLANET, DUH.

also, i'm totally doing the gig ticket thing as soon as i have my own house. dead classy though, like, not all just stuck up with blu-tac.

i have a bunch of steve gullick photos framed about my walls, and also photos and posters and album sleeves, all framed. and a bitchen bad brains poster blu-tac'd to my door.

vs. almost bare walls serving as backdrop to poorly-concealed black power leads snaking around to a television set in the middle of the fucking room

i call this latter look "trust fund chic"

the only thing currently on the wall in my apt is this:

Because of this thread I am now going to go out and buy a bunch of Japan/Bauhaus/Siouxsie etc posters and plaster my walls in them because I CAN.
