Where to begin.

Ah, yeah I guessed this'd be about Pvt Kovco. First the deal was he'd accidentally shot himself (to which everyone said "yeah right, it was suicide, no soldier fires in their own face cleaning their gun!")

Then they stuff up and send the wrong body home! And it's been the only AU death so far - way to disrespect, people.

The mother apparently rang the prime minister, was allowed to speak to him, and gave him an earful. Good on her.

Looks like Howard will have the black suit on for the next few days whilst he somehow wrings political mileage out of it, well, once he's finished with doing the same with the Anzacs and the Port Arthur massacre.

it will be interesting to see who the "private contractor in kuwait" was.

Oh they already said who that was on the news here last night. American firm IIRC - but shit now I cannot find any mention of it in any newspaper reports. They had a guy on the phone from the company on TV last night denying they had ANY responsibility for the mixup. It was a company starting with H I think, single word?

Aha no it was Kenyon.
