David Cameron as a cute chameleon, Classic or Dud?

I flicked channels, and the Labour PPB started up.

Alice sees the 'cute chameleon' and settles down to watch it.

Got me thinking...

How many families are now watching this as the chameleon has caught the eye of the kids, and the messages are going in to te adults, subliminal like?

Apparently, there had been one previously where he'd been depicted as a cute frog, which he said he enjoyed as his little girl had also enjoyed the programme about the cute frog.

Hmm. I think he's bluffing.

you mean puffing

Konal Doddz (blueski), Friday, 28 April 2006 09:34 (twenty years ago)

it's just struck me: this is the crazy frogging of british politics.

25 yr old undercover cop (Enrique), Friday, 28 April 2006 09:36 (twenty years ago)

see it gets the kids loving david cameron and the parents would get jealous of the love and will vote labour in revenge. meanwhile kids can't vote and by the time they grow up it won't be david cameron and they'd be heart broken and never vote tories evah. So a win-win tactic. Genius.

ken c (ken c), Friday, 28 April 2006 09:36 (twenty years ago)

this sounds highly fucked up. is CGI involved?

Konal Doddz (blueski), Friday, 28 April 2006 09:39 (twenty years ago)

I'm beginning to think Labour are deliberately trying to lose the next election

They're Dairylea Mad, Them Kids (Dada), Friday, 28 April 2006 09:39 (twenty years ago)

25 yr old undercover cop (Enrique), Friday, 28 April 2006 09:39 (twenty years ago)

David Orton (scarlet), Friday, 28 April 2006 09:41 (twenty years ago)

i'm not a big tv man these days -- i've only seen this in news broadcasts, not as an actual attack ad.

You mean the Tories haven't already appropriated that character for themselves? If they haven't already they will shortly. Stupid, stupid, stupid, Labour party strategists.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 28 April 2006 10:08 (twenty years ago)

Hmm, apparently he cycled to his office yesterday, stopped for photos/chat to press about "green issues", and got to his office, where his car pulled up and gave him his suitcase, a shirt and a shiny pair of shoes.

The chancellor has received a ringing endorsement from one of the most glamorous women in the world that he is the man to succeed Tony Blair as prime minister.

When Gordon Brown met actress Angelina Jolie at a press conference in Namibia, the pair indulged in a shower of compliments for each others' efforts to make the world a better place.

The American star, more used to spending time with Brad Pitt, praised Mr Brown's £8.5 billion pledge for global education, while the MP for Dunfermline East called her "inspirational" in her role as a UN goodwill ambassador.

When asked if Mr Brown should be the next prime minister she eventually admitted: "I hope he does have a chance to do more and more good things, and I think he will if he has the chance. So yes, I would like to see it.

I have no recollection of this cute chameleon, so the beginning of this topic reads like a collective fever dream.

I think the biggest of all the many problems with that is that lots of people actually will be laughing if Jedward win.

My ex girlfriend's new fiancee looks exactly like David Cameron, which makes me like both him and Cameron even less.

I am flesh and blood. You are software and circuitry. (chap), Friday, 13 November 2009 14:03 (sixteen years ago)
