What is a "potential threat?"
Think about it. That's Big Brother doublespeak.
It's not a real threat. So it becomes a "potential threat."
Imagine if you were arrested as a "potential threat." How would you feel? You know you're innocent. There's no proof you're actually a threat. So, they call you a "potential threat" and accomplish the exact same end result. If you ever get acquitted, nobody will ever look at you the same again.
Imagine! We live in a time when you can get in big trouble for:
1. not ommitting crime
2. not attempting to commit a crime
3. not making any plans to commit a crime
You can even go to jail for someone else's opinion about whether or not you are a "threat." That is what a "potential threat" is: an opinion. Qualifiers such as "possible targets", "evidence suggesting" and accusations disguised as questions can put you away. People "known for harboring" [unpopular opinions/attitudes] or "associated" with a "loose-knit" group of [bad guys] are now railroaded or targeted as the enemy. And the media facilitates the process by ignorantly issuing false statements such as those above fed to them by Murdoch or some other idiot.
It is nothing new, I know. But, it is a little annoying to even consider for a few minutes.

Dude, it's only a restraining order, get over it.
