I am not sure if I EVER need to see another film again. And Tony Scott is out of a career. From the pixelated beating heart in the credits to the bouncing off the car at the end (and the POV shot of the baddies in the end credits) there isn't a moment of this film that isn't stuffed with inventive glee.

really??? i watched it recently, and i thought it started well then degenerated into lameness... but jason statham is freakin' hot so it was worth watching purely for him. i thought the sex scene in the market was utterly ridiculous. it could have been funny, but it just wasn't.

but in saying that, i watched 'brick' the same night, and if that movie rates a 1, that makes 'crank' about a 10.

'brick' is one of the worse movies i have ever seen.

it should be pointed out somewhere that me & the wife managede to purchase three amy smart movies today, in the same trip to the used cd/dvd/game shop. and I have watched two this evening. a miracle? no. a world record? probably.

like that scene is really really disgusting on a number of levels but the comic payoff almost makes me forgive it completely

while this may not be the greatest action movie in the world, it is based on pretty much the Best Premise Ever for an action movie

This is already the plot of every Statham movie. Why do they have to take it to such literal dimensions?

BTW I think it's very interesting that none of the posters for this movie (or, I'm guessing, any of his other movies) ever feature a female costar.
