Walmart CHina has a union and Walmart america does not?

The national union in China is just a puppet of the communist government though, isn't it? Hardly what a real union should be.

Yep. China wants Wal-Mart unions because the trade union presumably charges dues (which then feed back into the CP apparatus) without actually doing anything to protect the workers.
