i've never been to fiji. in nz it used to be everyone's dream to go there. my sister got a postcard from her friend that said, in big round handwriting with circles over the i's, 'picture me on a boat, sitting in a deck chair admiring my toenail polish, sipping on a drink with chunks of pineapple in it and a paper umbrella sticking out the top' so we did and then we were glum about our lot, as well as a bit critical of her expression.
