I think the Internet was invented solely to bring us new movie trailers.

Running With Scissors - could go either way, but the old guy was in rushmore and he's pretty much classic. plus evan rachel wood makes this a must try

Apocalypto - i'm totally fascinated by the mayans. masters of architecture, astronomy (their calendar was more accurate than our own), mathematics, and then there's their fascinating writing system. one of the few (only? besides the aztecs?) american tribes to develop a true writing system, i don't know if people realize how phenomenally stunning that achievement is. without writing people are very much lost in time, kind of reinventing the wheel every generation. writing is like a space shuttle to a new land - anyway, the whole point is i've never seen a mayan movie and to have a big budget mayan movie by a director who's proved he can make a big rich colorful historical - i'm exited.

man of the year - robin williams as celebrity president. whoop de doo. i didn't crack a smile once during this trailer, and the director's hit and miss, but if he did _rain man_, _bugsy_ and _wag the dog_ I'm willing to give him a a chance

babel - 21 grams was an absolute mess, but i'll trust pitt, he's never let me down before. border patrol plus american tourists getting shot by arabs? way to go topical.

I am very excited about this one, for "Mr. Hands", kind of a metaphysical sequel to Fast Times At Ridgemont High:

It's surprising how distinguished Brad Pitt is looking in middle-age.

five months pass...
This looks like it could hit the spot for those bored of waiting for the next Miyazaki picture.
