I say dud! Fork over some cash for a little extra honeydew, ya cheap-ass motherfucker! Or at least some kiwi-fruit, ya sunkist-lovin' beyotch!

and apple slices? um, i don't think so. the shit turns brown, ya moran! what's next, bananas? what are you, ten? ya got your grapes, your strawberries, your melons, your pineapple. the aforementioned kiwi-fruit. hey, you want to throw some guava or mango in the mix, go to town! The guava is one of the most gregarious fruit trees! it doesn't LIKE to sleep alone. Show some imagination for once in your life!

So tell me more about Nantucket Nectar.

my neighborhood deli puts 1 slice of orange and 1 slice of kiwi on top of a pile of canteloupe, watermelon and grapes. those slices make the salad look exotic and then you're just like 'oh, canteloupe.' not that there's anything wrong with canteloupe, but i wouldn't mind more of the orange or kiwi (more kiwi, though, as the oranges aren't really that great).

sometimes my entire life be like DAMNNN! (tehresa), Thursday, 21 September 2006 04:10 (nineteen years ago)

Bit of lemon juice slows the browning process of apples.

orange slices in fruit salad are classic. i like melon, but there's usually too much of it.

ORANGE OR GRAPEFRUIT IN FRUIT SALAD IS THE BEST

Surmounter, Thursday, 28 August 2008 05:11 (seventeen years ago)

i mean what could be more refreshing?

how bout: orange, grapefruit, banana, kiwi, green apple, red grape, cantelope

Surmounter, Thursday, 28 August 2008 05:13 (seventeen years ago)

it's too beautiful, the idea.

Surmounter, Thursday, 28 August 2008 05:13 (seventeen years ago)

what i hate is when there's nothing tart.

also what happened to banana? it used to happen more?

Surmounter, Thursday, 28 August 2008 05:23 (seventeen years ago)

total dud. who wants something common like an orange slice. what is this, a chinese restaurant? get some good shit in there. honeydew, cantaloupe, strawberries, kiwi

burt_stanton, Thursday, 28 August 2008 12:31 (seventeen years ago)

a few grapes also offer a tasty little surprise

burt_stanton, Thursday, 28 August 2008 12:32 (seventeen years ago)

oranges contaminate fruit salad with their overpow'ring tang

the answer is clearly mandarin oranges

Edward III, Thursday, 28 August 2008 13:45 (seventeen years ago)

mandarin oranges = good call. i could go for some tangerine in my fruit salad.

Roberto Spiralli, Thursday, 28 August 2008 13:48 (seventeen years ago)

Thus

Pineapple
Honeydew
Strawberries
Mango
Passion Fruit
Peach
Bit of Lime Juice.

Jarlrmai, Thursday, 28 August 2008 14:13 (seventeen years ago)

that sounds great passion fruit sometimes freaks me out. it's so fuckin sweet

Surmounter, Thursday, 28 August 2008 14:16 (seventeen years ago)

I only put a little in, the key is the lime juice.

Jarlrmai, Thursday, 28 August 2008 14:20 (seventeen years ago)

definitely key

Surmounter, Thursday, 28 August 2008 14:20 (seventeen years ago)

In the two fruit tango, the Pineapple Strawberry axis is king.

Jarlrmai, Thursday, 28 August 2008 14:21 (seventeen years ago)

yes that really does sound mindblowing

Surmounter, Thursday, 28 August 2008 17:54 (seventeen years ago)

you know, i don't give a fuck what kinda fruit yer gonna give me as long as it's ripe. unripe melons and unripe mangoes make a man start fires.

ian, Thursday, 28 August 2008 18:11 (seventeen years ago)

Dud if they're those 5 mm think twist-style slices that just add tranluscent confusion and no flavor to the whole ordeal.

Abbott, Thursday, 28 August 2008 18:14 (seventeen years ago)

Bananas get wicked gloppy and slimy in a fruit salad. Grapes are nigh near impossible to spear, esp. w/a plastic picnic fork.

I prefer an all melons & berries affair.

Abbott, Thursday, 28 August 2008 18:15 (seventeen years ago)

I get a satisfying sense of accomplishment after spearing a grape on the 4th try. this is why I will never amount to much.

Edward III, Thursday, 28 August 2008 18:16 (seventeen years ago)

lol i can totally relate

Surmounter, Thursday, 28 August 2008 18:17 (seventeen years ago)

so what I never got my masters why I'm the master of this grape nom nom nom
