Why do I pass out whenever I eat a good amount of pizza from a major chain?

Whenever I eat around four slices of pizza from Pizza Hut, Little Caesars, etc., I always pass out for a few hours afterwards and wake up feeling sick.

Does this type of thing happen to other people or am I just strange? Could there be a reason for it?

I'm almost certain that pizza shouldn't make you pass out. But maybe I've just been eating the wrong pizza. What toppings do you get?

The stuff definitely wipes me out too, but I think (hope) it's just for usual overeating type reasons, whatever force it is that drives the need for siesta. As for the feeling sick, it's probably because this stuff is not good for you! Grease, sugar, salt, cheese, dunno what kind of toppings you dig but I'm sure any chain pizza place is not exactly giving you fresh vitamin-rich garden veggies. I love this stuff, don't get me wrong, but I'm no less surprised when it makes me feel queasy and sluggish than when I indulge in Waffle House or greasy-spoon milkshakes.

Are we talking "man I am soooo full" falling asleep, or actual, falling to the floor passing out unconciousness?

anyway the answer is probably because you only order pizzas after smoking a dube at 3 in the morning?

x-post

Well I guess more of the former, although I wasn't OVERLY full tonight. I definitely wasn't still hungry, but it wasn't like I was sitting around uncomfortable from being so full either. Tonight was actually the first time it's happened in a while, but it used to happen literally almost every time.

I used to tell everyone (when I was a teenager) that Pizza Hut's pizza was so good because they put beer in the cheese. I told it so many times, and with such conviction, that I honestly can't remember if I heard it from a 'reliable' source, or just made it up at a certain point.

But it could be the beer in the cheese.
