I don't know how long you can do a series about someone who has absolutely nothing in the way of human feeling. It's interesting (though trying too hard to make Dexter creepy in the first episode), but it's cold in a bad way, like the producers are so proud of themselves for doing something this off the wall so they've got to go beyond watchability.

eleven months pass...

the books were a fun enough read. a lot of hype around this series now. I’ve never seen previous season,was it any good?. i need to getz me some showtime ASAP

My friend kept trying to make me watch this show and I kept thinking it had Dabney Coleman in it for some reason.

There are a couple of really annoying actors on it, but it's pretty good. Michael C Hall is pretty great as Dexter.
