inspired by barbara & laura being pro-choice (and woodward saying laura called for rumsfeld to resign, even if thats more about competency than politics) & eleanor pleading with fdr against japanese internment camps

i thought maybe ladybird but she was real active in lbj's war on poverty stuff! shes alright!

edith wilson seemed like a sure shot but despite all that 1st female prez/league of nations stuff its impossible to find info about her actual beliefs

jackie? hillary?

Women in general might not be more compassionate (and therefore more lefty) than men, but PR demands that a first lady has to be more compassionate than the average.

Possible flaw in that is that more compassionate might not equal more progressive/liberal. I think it does, but it would be an obvious point of disagreement for bible thumping cockfarming warmongering scare-tacticizing wingnuts.

Yeah, I was just about to say that about Gore. In what way is HC right of BC? She's at least been active on health care, hasn't she? (Do you really think that of JFK, anthony?)

Sundar (sundar), Saturday, 30 September 2006 18:21 (nineteen years ago)

BC's presidency was really conserative, in all the worst ways

anthony easton (anthony), Saturday, 30 September 2006 18:51 (nineteen years ago)

and i apologize for the kennedy remark

Yes, exactly. So how is HC to his right?

i said i think, and slightly, and ive had to think about it. the problem is that she (and he) seem to have no ideas or morals of there own, that have not been vetted by pollsters...so i could cite the hawkish hilary, but she has taken that back, with the footage of condi, and the recent torture mess...
