Personally I think this is pretty cool. Everything I've heard about the bank and its basic principles strikes me as extremely worthwhile and sound, from its emphasis on female clients to the whole idea of microcredit. Is this the first time this prize has been awarded to an economic candidate rather than a diplomatic or more overtly conflict-identified figure or group?

I also like this as well:

In an announcement out of Dhaka, Bangladesh, Yunus said he plans to use his part of the prize award to establish a company to provide cheap, healthy food for the poor, the Associated Press reported.
