My wife just bought us this toaster oven, or rather "toastation," at Target for $40. I never thought I would find a toaster beautiful, but:

The design is clever too - when you switch it from "toaster" to "oven," a little metal door closes over the toast slot.

Why do you need a slot in the top?

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Friday, 27 October 2006 00:30 (nineteen years ago)

Just for the fun of pushdown toasting I guess.

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 27 October 2006 00:32 (nineteen years ago)

I guess you could toast twice as much, if you had guests over.

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Friday, 27 October 2006 00:33 (nineteen years ago)

When they come over you totally need to call it "the toastation" by the way.

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Friday, 27 October 2006 00:33 (nineteen years ago)

Oh yeah, I didn't even thinking about using both the chamber and the slot at once, but good point. I was more just thinking it was aesthetically well-designed and sort of not.

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 27 October 2006 00:35 (nineteen years ago)

Er, sort of neat

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 27 October 2006 00:35 (nineteen years ago)

Oh wait you have to do one or the other? Then I really don't get it! I mean I don't mean to be all harshin on your wife's new thing but what's the advantage over a normal toaster oven?

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Friday, 27 October 2006 00:43 (nineteen years ago)

There isn't any it's just cool-looking!

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 27 October 2006 00:46 (nineteen years ago)

The more I look at it the less I understand it. When you push the toast down, where does it go? Can you see it through the glass in the front?

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Friday, 27 October 2006 00:47 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah, the toast actually goes into the oven chamber and you can see it through the glass door. Like I said, it's just neat.

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:23 (nineteen years ago)

I would have to shout "TO THE BATCAVE!!!" every time I shoved the toast into its chamber below.

Abbott (Abbott), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:25 (nineteen years ago)

Well then surely the toast wouldn't get a proper toasting? Shouldn't there be a heating element next to the bread across the full length of the bread's surface?

This thing sucks!

Andrew (enneff), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:26 (nineteen years ago)

But there are heating elements in the oven chamber - not sure what you mean but it seems to toast just fine.

This joystick has a really comfortable feel to it.

Just let me enjoy my Toastation in peace! Damn you all! Damn you all to hell! Lock thread!

A-ron Hubbard. You just can't trust a word he says. This is Nude Spock and I approve this message.

Portable Dorkness (Dick Butkus), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:42 (nineteen years ago)

You are incorrect. You can toast things in the oven chamber and the slot at the same time. The metal door only closes when you set it to "oven."

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:43 (nineteen years ago)

Don't try to backpedal. Really, don't. That's the breaks.

Portable Dorkness (Dick Butkus), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:46 (nineteen years ago)

What's unclear about that?

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:48 (nineteen years ago)

Well, for starters, can you put your dick in it?

Portable Dorkness (Dick Butkus), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:50 (nineteen years ago)

No, but you can put yours in it.

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:51 (nineteen years ago)

I doubt your wife would appreciate that. Very inconsiderate of you.

Portable Dorkness (Dick Butkus), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:52 (nineteen years ago)

This thread is just getting dumber and dumber, and it's partly my fault.

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:55 (nineteen years ago)

Partly? You started it. Nice toaster, buddy. Can I put my dick in it?

Portable Dorkness (Dick Butkus), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:57 (nineteen years ago)

I already told you, yes.

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 27 October 2006 01:59 (nineteen years ago)

I just wanted to hear you say it again!

Is that the "dip my balls in it" guy? If so, it took me a long time to recognize him. I thought it was a snap from a soap opera or something!

I am just happy that EVERY TIME you use your NEW TOASTER which you LOVE SO MUCH you will always envision (for a short time, perhaps subconsciously) Leonard Nimoy, naked, Nude Spock, sticking his dick in your toaster.

Kind of puts a bad taste in your mouth, huh?

Portable Dorkness (Dick Butkus), Friday, 27 October 2006 02:40 (nineteen years ago)

I think A-Ron's kind of coming out ahead in the whole "imagine Nude Spock's dick in a toaster" game. We all are.

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Friday, 27 October 2006 02:51 (nineteen years ago)

"coming out (of a) head" ... interesting. Being electrocuted by toaster-fucking is highly illogical. There is a plug. And when I sneak into A-Ron's house, not only will I unplug his toaster and stick my dick in it, but I will also unstick his butt and put a plug in it.

Portable Dorkness (Dick Butkus), Friday, 27 October 2006 02:53 (nineteen years ago)

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 27 October 2006 02:57 (nineteen years ago)

Except for one thing: I am eternally 16 and I never was stupid enough to use AOL.
