Man, tomatoes were already $1.49/lb before the cold snap this weekend. I'm not looking forward to this summer.

I planted some which I'm sure are gone. just going to plant some more.

NPR was just talking about the peach crop being more or less completely gone.

Farmers lives are going to suck.
two years ago there was a tomato blight in this area (regionally, I think most of New England and upper New York). The CSA farms, however, are pretty creative and bounced back with selling wildflower bouquets.

Yeah, this kill-all-the-fruits-and-veggies bullshit isn't going to have a happy ending for anybody. But since I'm a selfish prick, I'm more concerned with being able to afford my salad habit.

NB - I don't actually have a salad habit, but as a fatass, I want to develop one.

That's why I love you. We keep it simple.

aimurchie, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 03:34 (nineteen years ago)

The honeybee thing i freaking me and my boyfriend out pretty badly, actually... Just disappearing. Freaky. With all those poor little larvae just walled in with no one to save them!

Plus, I basically live on fruit in the warmer months. This is going to be bad. Especially for my wallet.
