The boy grimaces cartoonishly at Bratz commercials. He's OTM.

nickalicious, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 21:27 (nineteen years ago)

But hey, you could be on the soundtrack.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 21:27 (nineteen years ago)

dateline: to catch a film critic

strongohulkington, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 21:31 (nineteen years ago)

the only clip ive seen of the cartoon was on The Soup where they showed a clip where the main characters were talking about dieting.

g®▲Ðұ, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 21:33 (nineteen years ago)

Hey, they filmed parts of this at the Grove! How exciting. I'm not going to get angry that this got made and I can't make any headway with my original screenplays that actually have characters and stuff.

Jeff Treppel, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 21:38 (nineteen years ago)

I hope the Geico Caveman is in this!

OMG! kill me.

Andi Mags, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 22:04 (nineteen years ago)

Basically the only downside to watching Nickelodeon in place of any other channel of tv is you will at some point have to see a commercial for either BRATZ or BRATZ BABIES products.

nickalicious, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 22:07 (nineteen years ago)

Bratz Babies are the most appalling thing I've ever seen, doe-eyed cartoon babies in fuck-me diapers.

nickalicious, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 22:07 (nineteen years ago)

"fuck-me diapers"?

Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 22:09 (nineteen years ago)

Dude, those girls are way, way too proportionate to be BRATZ. And I doubt theyhave removable feetshoes like real BRATZ.

Abbott, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 22:12 (nineteen years ago)

You assure us that the music you’re submitting is not defamatory, is not virus-infected, and does not illegally copy other people’s music.

Why does everyone on that mini-banner have something stuck in their face.
Why did it take three cycles until I realized the blonde didn't have a pink funnel in her mouth. Why does her gum-bubble have a mole? Yuck.

two months pass...

IT HAS ARRIVED

Jeff Treppel, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:33 (eighteen years ago)

I'm boycotting this movie because of what they did to Paula Abdul.

The Brainwasher, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:34 (eighteen years ago)

Sadly enough, I have a couple of connections to this movie -- the company that one of my friends works as a PA for had something to do with producing it, and the boss of another friend actually wrote the damn thing (he's the guy who created that Code Monkeys show on G4 [the boss, not my friend]).

Jeff Treppel, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:35 (eighteen years ago)

I think I'll wait for Zwinky -- the movie

wanko ergo sum, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:36 (eighteen years ago)

It's the Best Friends Forever! Best Friends Forever! RING!

Abbott, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:37 (eighteen years ago)

I wonder if GET ZWINKY the movie will resemble GET SHORTY in any way.

Abbott, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:37 (eighteen years ago)

Favorite Rotten Tomatoes review headline: "This is why the terrorists hate us."

Jeff Treppel, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:38 (eighteen years ago)

'R' rating, maybe? That would be cool.

xpost

wanko ergo sum, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:40 (eighteen years ago)

Seriously guys, DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=23h07VLHtnw

PAULA DOES NOT DESERVE THIS KIND OF TREATMENT.

The Brainwasher, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:40 (eighteen years ago)

I know, I bet her little inbred dogs took days to console her to the point where she could get out of bed and start walking around with ataxia again.

Abbott, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:42 (eighteen years ago)

Where is God when Paula Abdul needs him?

Jeff Treppel, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:43 (eighteen years ago)

Doing his own clothes designs for BRATZ---way to usurp Paula's dream, God.

Abbott, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:44 (eighteen years ago)

Man, looking at that movie, it's pretty obvious that God can't design for shit. There goes intelligent design, right out the window!

Jeff Treppel, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:46 (eighteen years ago)

Well, I gave up on that a long time ago, considering a sweet loving Newfoundland dog lives on avg. 8 years and Reagan was over 80 when he died.

Abbott, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:48 (eighteen years ago)

I don't know, I was on the fence up until I saw the choreography for the Bratz movie. Totally ruined it for me.

Jeff Treppel, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:49 (eighteen years ago)

Whoever did the casting for this is terrible. All those actresses have noses!

nabisco, Friday, 3 August 2007 23:58 (eighteen years ago)

DO NOT WANT

Eisbaer, Saturday, 4 August 2007 05:54 (eighteen years ago)

Holy shit at that paula abdul clip. you'd think one of her relatives had died or something.

I saw some posters for the "Bratz" movie over the last week or so, I wasn't aware they were making a film based on it, but I wasn't surprised, I guiess it was inevitable.

Zwinky the movie would mos t likely be like attending some weird political/religious cult meeting, with orders barked out from the screen:

"GET ZWINKY!"
"DRESS YOUR ZWINKY"
"CREATE YOUR ZWINKY AVATAR!!"

etc.

"Second Life" the movie probably only a matter of time as well, screenings interrupted by loud screaming noises and thousands of marios bouncing up and down from the cinema ceiling.

Pashmina, Saturday, 4 August 2007 09:20 (eighteen years ago)

We won't let our 6-year old daughter watch Bratz cartoons or have Bratz dolls (not that she wants to, thankfully). Bratz are, IMO, totally inappropriate for the age group they are marketed to. For instance, there is a Bratz line called ''Blind Date,'' which comes with a (heavily made-up, way too mature-looking) girl Bratz doll and a mostly hidden boy Bratz doll. The idea is to guess which Bratz boy is going on the ''Blind Date'' with the Bratz girl. That's way too much, way too soon.

Daniel, Esq., Saturday, 4 August 2007 10:25 (eighteen years ago)

I don't know. Mister M's nieces have Bratz dolls, and they're seven and nine. They push them around in their Bratz car and brush their hair and that seems to be about it. Oh, and they wave them around while they sing karaoke. Seems reasonably harmless to me, but then, they're not my kids and I have never seen the cartoons, so I don't know.

I do love the Bratz car though. I wish my dolls had had cars like that.

accentmonkey, Saturday, 4 August 2007 10:54 (eighteen years ago)

St. Petersburg Times, Feb. 2004

There are a slew of other articles complaining about Bratz dolls in, e.g., The NYT, Wiki, and so forth.

Daniel, Esq., Saturday, 4 August 2007 11:15 (eighteen years ago)

is there trabelling pants or yaya sisterhoods goin on in this bitch?

Bratz music -- the style. There have been around three of these.

Gorge, Saturday, 4 August 2007 16:04 (eighteen years ago)

"Carry Nation High School"? A Beyond The Valley of the Dolls reference, an ancient temperance reference or just, like, totally what the sign said and like that's it?

milo z, Saturday, 4 August 2007 17:21 (eighteen years ago)

i wonder if i'll see this... it could be hilarious
