I gave up on Last.fm ages ago because the stupid audioscrobbler thing doesn't upload my choons to the site, so the whole thing becomes kind of pointless because I end up with no profile and no recommendations.

Doh, it does work. Unfortunately if you have problems you may have to search around the forums to find the correct advice depending on your system, player, etc.

Audioscrobbler had a lot of issues, but they worked most of them out by the time it was last.fm.
The recommendations have always been shit, though.
