Not on the waitperson, I should hope.

Aimless, Sunday, 21 October 2007 04:30 (eighteen years ago)

But in typical Sarah style she did it with aplomb and cuteness than charmed the management into bringing out a pan of fresh, smoking, in-house roasted coffee beans for our olractory...um...well I guess they intended it to be pleasure. (Actually the 2 incidences were not necessarily connected.)

Also, Jaymc uttered a guttural sigh of satiation.

Jesse, Sunday, 21 October 2007 04:35 (eighteen years ago)

One day I will be able to maintain a blog aside from ILX.

ILX REAL LIFE GOSSIP ALERT

Will hit the 500 replies mark within 12 hours.

King Boy Pato, Sunday, 21 October 2007 04:46 (eighteen years ago)

Doubtful, as it's midnight EST and like...6 AM on a Saturday GMT.

Jesse, Sunday, 21 October 2007 04:48 (eighteen years ago)

No more than 150, surely. It's a weekend.

Aimless, Sunday, 21 October 2007 04:48 (eighteen years ago)

Oh shit! I will never get used to Central time. It's AM-ish EST.

Also, Nick spilled his water. And I drank too much. And CoCo was quiet and had beautiful shining hair that caught the light in every environment she stepped into.

Jesse, Sunday, 21 October 2007 04:49 (eighteen years ago)

And I drank too much.

^^^ Rosetta Stone of this thread

n/a, Sunday, 21 October 2007 04:54 (eighteen years ago)

Revised total: 700 by Tuesday at the very latest.

King Boy Pato, Sunday, 21 October 2007 04:54 (eighteen years ago)

Wait. Are you suggesting that *I* drank too much?

I realize now that I didn't tell on myself. But "too much"?

Jesse, Sunday, 21 October 2007 05:02 (eighteen years ago)

I want to go to dinner w/ you guys!

Further status reports/gossip:

Dan M and Sisiut are out at the Green Mill (2 blocks from my house) where they somehow skipped the $12 cover charge and are tossing back boozahol until 5 AM closing time.

I, however, being the model of temperance and chastity that I am, am up sipping water, petting my parrot and kitty, reading Edward Albee and Tennessee Williams plays. And giving the eyeball to a civil procedure book.

Jesse, Sunday, 21 October 2007 05:06 (eighteen years ago)

Kit Kat - I saw you on IB and it was some weird internet convergence moment. But yeah, your wedding was beautiful.

ENBB, Sunday, 21 October 2007 05:06 (eighteen years ago)

But am considering hitting the bathhouse in a minute.

j/k

?

Jesse, Sunday, 21 October 2007 05:06 (eighteen years ago)

ILX gossip: Jesse has been to a bathhouse.

Jesse, Sunday, 21 October 2007 05:08 (eighteen years ago)

I did as in Rome, or as in Ethiopia as it were, for quite some time, but decided the inerja bread was deadening the taste of the food wrapped inside it. Also, I didn't really like its sponginess in general.

ENBB, Are you planning your own?

n/a, Sunday, 21 October 2007 13:50 (eighteen years ago)

(That is me, kitkat, posting under Nick's name because I'm too lazy to log out of the home computer. Also I wouldn't want him to forget to log back in under his own name, making it appear that I am a noise board regular.)

n/a, Sunday, 21 October 2007 13:51 (eighteen years ago)

Mr. Que is not a fan of Ethiopian, largely on the basis of injera sponginess and finger eating thing. Perhaps if I proffered a fork in lieu of injera he would come to love the Ethiopian as I do? I mean we live in DC, fer chrissake, where good Ethiopian restaurants abound!

quincie, Sunday, 21 October 2007 16:01 (eighteen years ago)

Injera is weird. It is kind of like eating glove leather, except easier to chew. I still like it, though.

Jenny, Sunday, 21 October 2007 16:18 (eighteen years ago)

It's skin-like.

Jenny, Sunday, 21 October 2007 16:19 (eighteen years ago)

It leaves your fingers all tacky. Nevertheless I like injera. Was the injera not so good there?

Casuistry, Sunday, 21 October 2007 16:34 (eighteen years ago)

I like injera. Maybe I will get some African food tonight.

Jordan, Sunday, 21 October 2007 16:49 (eighteen years ago)

The injera was fine. I can't really remember what it tastes like elsewhere enough to compare. Plus it's been a couple years since I ate Ethiopian before last night. It was more sour than I remember.

Jesse, Monday, 22 October 2007 04:51 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, I don't think it was bad for what it was, I just didn't want to fill up on a bunch of bland sponginess.

Also, ENBB, I failed to mention that I ran into a couple other ILXors on IB too.

KitCat, Monday, 22 October 2007 13:44 (eighteen years ago)

Was this Ras Dashen or Ethiopian Diamond?

Eazy, Monday, 22 October 2007 13:58 (eighteen years ago)

Ras Dashen.
