hahahaha my female friend has just purchased a pirate costume for halloween, i shall inform her of these OFFICIAL ILX facts!

There's a famous historical case from the 18th or 17th century, where two woman pretended to be men and became pirates, and also were assumedly a couple. I can't remember their names though.

Jack and Diane, two teenage lesbians, meet in New York City and spend the night kissing ferociously. Diane's charming innocence quickly begins to open Jack's tough skinned heart. But, when Jack discovers that Diane is leaving the country in a week she tries to push her away. i went to a halloween party last week w/a lesbian friend and she was dressed as a pirate

yes, if the pirate thing was no longer a lame, hackneyed fashion-statement but a genuine way of life, i agree that that would be awesome. again, though, only if like 1 or 2 of my friends did it. if it was everyone, then it would become boring v. quickly

I've been to quite a few lesbian-centric gigs and nights and seen it loads. I even went to a ladyfest a few years ago and there was a pirate dress up workshop.
