Hader was great in the puppet sketch

A little inside baseball here, but it made me really happy to see Vanessa Bayer working with puppets again (as she used to be a performer for iO's hilarious improv puppet show, Felt). And that sketch was the highlight of the night, imo.

I was also pleasantly surprised with MacFarlane. Especially since his monologue seemed like a harbinger of intolerable punchability.

also Betty White is a talented comic performer as opposed to say Katherine Heigl

kerrigan's no more salacious a host than say anne hathaway when she did her whole "lol i dated a con artist" bit

Betty White is great but she wasn't promoting anything or in the news. She was on purely because of a semi-ironic Facebook campaign.
