The worst!?

I mean, this has happened to me at awful junctions. Luckily this one today (first in a while) wasn't tragic, but it's still disheartening. :/

Oh God, why have I not done this for over 18 months? It must be time to back up.

Errrrrr........
you are saying, it's easier to recover things from the trash than from Windows recycling bin?
D'oh, put me out of my misery. I used to use Synk but I let it slide.

ljubljana, Saturday, 22 March 2008 22:37 (eighteen years ago)

the windows bin doesn't provide that childlike sense of wonder

DG, Saturday, 22 March 2008 22:38 (eighteen years ago)

Not arguing with that.

I am trying out Mozy now to try to avoid this.

toby, I'm using Mozy too! But so far I haven't deleted anything so I haven't really had to test it.

Yeah, me neither. Also today it randomly decided that my backup was over the 2GB free limit, and when I went into the configuration to check it turned out to still be under 200Mb, so I'm not totally convinced that the Mac client is 100% what it should be. I still burn everything crucial to DVD monthly and keep it off site, too.

It's still in there somewhere, whether in binary or a document mish-mash of ASCII and smiley faces, how do you think they catch so many paedos?
