Premiering Monday, April 14 at 10:00 p.m., ego trip's Miss Rap Supreme answers these questions by giving 10 contestants a shot at winning $100,000 and the title of Miss Rap Supreme. These budding female MCs have to find a way to make it through challenges that will test their stage presence, mental toughness, creativity and of course, sex appeal. Who will impress the streets with her quick-witted rhymes and braggadocious swagger? Who will get her weave knocked off for talking too much smack (and get a smack in return)?

this was fun altho I missed the first half or so.... the German chick kinda got shafted in the challenge, I think. sure her delivery was pretty weak but she had better, more interesting rhymes than almost everybody else in the challenge.

1986: When Chiquita Ashley's one-year-old daughter walked over to the stereo, said "heyyy!" and started snapping her fingers to Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean"; she knew that she had a star on her hands…
A one-woman riot, LadyTwist (born SheRico Jones) wrote and recorded her first demo tape at the age of 10. Equipped with only a karaoke machine, a CD of jazz instrumentals and a clear vision; this exceptionally gifted scholar was born to be an entertainer. Her influences include early 90's artists Another Bad Creation and Kris Kross and later Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Da Brat, Eminem and Ludacris.
Her underground releases are numerous and include: the self-fulfilling prophecy "Shorty's Gonna Make it" (1996), "My World" (1998), "Lyrikally Yourz" (2000) and her first 'mainstream' production "The Demotape" (2005). The latter premieres her production skills on tracks such as "Hard 2 Get", "Watch This" and "Wrong Bitch" as well as production by her nephew, up-and-coming artist/producer Lil' Nut, on "Chill Music" and "Signs".
Having always "straddled the fence" between the image of "Daddy's little girl" and the neighborhood "Dope-girl" (opposed to "Dope-boy"), the 22 year-old has had more than enough experiences to create a masterpiece that people from all walks of life can identify with. A Journalism student, LadyTwist has the uncanny ability to tell a riveting story about literally anything while maintaining a consistent rhyming pattern. Thereby her latest release "The Demotape 2" is LadyTwist's most creative, thought-provoking and musically ingenious creation to date.
LadyTwist visits so many themes in "The Demotape 2" that the lyrical storyteller's creativity could be misdiagnosed as bipolarity. She covers everything from the street life and encouraging her fans to "Wrap it up", to anger management in the dramatic ballad "Control", exploits the stereotype of 'ghetto girls' through the hilariously classic character Shaquaiquai (played by LadyTwist herself) and vents her frustrations in the controversially-violent rant "7 Bullets".
Twizzle (as she's affectionately called by fans) has a distinct and attention-grabbing style that is guaranteed to leave you laughing, impressed, empathetic and/or otherwise amused or your money back! From jaw-dropping metaphors and punch lines to quick-witted and hysterical skits, you'll never get bored when LadyTwist is "in the building".

― Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 15:57 (eighteen years ago)
Khia's 16 bars from the elimination, she had already previously RECORDED and RELEASED. Which is sort of unfair actually (I PUNISH YOU FOR HAVING A RECORD OUT I HEARD!) but whatever she was being lame anyway.
― Alex in SF, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 16:06 (eighteen years ago)
haha well it was a lame 16 anyway
― Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 16:14 (eighteen years ago)
finally got caught up on this.
ok, so it sucks for us the viewer that krazy khia got bounced. i could feel some awesome TV moments dying stillborn as she walked away.
from what i can tell, about only 3 of these ladies could actually be a rapper in terms of making a good record, etc etc: Nicky2States, Ms. Cherry, and Lady Twist.
Twist seems the most consistent, hardworking one as far as the writing...strong delivery...too bad she's morbidly obese cuz lets be honest there's no way she's gonna win.
2States seems kinda up and down but she has an intensity when she flows sometimes that I like. Cherry seems pretty good too, kinda cocky as Serch nicked her for but still she has talent.
The rest...ug...yeah I dunno...Maybe Byata could get by as a Princess Superstar/that new chick with the nail song that Kanye is down with now kinda rapper....
Also, fuck Lioness, it was stupid she got to come back just cuz of Khia and then she actually wins and stays on AGAIN because she bedazzled some retarded track suit -- the fashion competition was fucking amazing, giving some 11 year olds a bunch of booze, scissors, and glitter shit and letting them go buckwild on some sweatpants. jeezo.
But yeah Lioness c'mon you're GERMAN and WEIRD. step off. At least DAB could at least maybe evolve into some kinda compelling post-Atmosphere "feelings" indie rap steez etc.
― M@tt He1ges0n, Monday, 28 April 2008 18:05 (eighteen years ago)
also, i didn't see the white rapper show...so does serch always do the WHOOP WHOOP thing like a magician to do a new magic trick like making Charlie Baltimore appear OUT OF THIN AIR!? love it!
"ok, so it sucks for us the viewer that krazy khia got bounced. i could feel some awesome TV moments dying stillborn as she walked away."
OTM.
I think the girl with the messed up eye might be okay too.
― Alex in SF, Monday, 28 April 2008 18:07 (eighteen years ago)
maybe this'll get better but so far it's boring me as much as the White Rapper Show. I keep wanting these shows to be entertaining, but they don't even succeed on a garbage reality show level like Rock Of Love or whatever.
― Alex in Baltimore, Monday, 28 April 2008 18:13 (eighteen years ago)
this is way more boring than White Rapper so far, I doubt I'm gonna keep watching it
I wish they would rap more! the elimination battles are the only interesting part
― dmr, Monday, 28 April 2008 18:23 (eighteen years ago)
also Serch and Yo-Yo are way too nice as judges
― dmr, Monday, 28 April 2008 18:26 (eighteen years ago)
why bring ghostface on to do absolutely nothing? Too Short was funny tho.
lolz Lionezz eliminated twice
― Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 30 April 2008 19:25 (eighteen years ago)
total bullshit last episode....lady twist - whose been consistantly solid the whole show -- gets bounced after one relatively sub-par verse in the challenge, while emo-rap bullshit bree stays on? c'mon.
nicky2states, byata, and reece's team did great in their dance song competition..good hook.
― M@tt He1ges0n, Thursday, 8 May 2008 19:21 (eighteen years ago)
did this get cancelled or something? last one I saw Hollywood Steve had a cameo
― Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 27 May 2008 21:18 (eighteen years ago)
i've heard they're yanking it for, uh, celebra cadabra
― impudent harlot, Tuesday, 27 May 2008 21:19 (eighteen years ago)
wow this got progressively worse/stupider with every episode
― Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 11 June 2008 15:34 (eighteen years ago)
It got pretty boring pretty quickly. They were mostly too good to be funny and too bad to be amazing, so it's just a competition between some middling up-and-comers, like arena football.
