I feel so furious and cheated now. My friend thinks I should phone them up and demand they buy me credit.

I just rang o2 but they said they can't do anything, unsurprisingly. this fucking country. the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Get one contract and never have this embarrassing problem ever, ever again. Pay As You Go is for kids and/or those without full time jobs.

@ ian: when you stop interjecting between people who know each other IRL as if you've actually got something worth saying to either about this given situation, I might consider my position on whether or not I'm condescending. Until then, may I helpfully add that you forgot 'patronizing.'
I know it's difficult, but keep that pecker up, babe.

As someone without a full-time job, I can confirm that Pay as You Go is, indeed, for people like me.

Phone contract is U&K for me and wahey it's upgrade time. Basically I knew I'd spend more than £30 a month on PAYG and didn't want to get OCD checking remaining credit all the time or the worry of running out.
― suzy, Wednesday, 7 May 2008 22:08 (sixteen years ago) link
I spend £7 a month on mah mobile. Contracts can fuck off, to be frank. They're there to rip you off.

― Ed, Wednesday, 7 May 2008 22:13 (sixteen years ago) link
switching to PAYG was the best decision i ever made. i make/receive like 3 calls a month.

i'll be a 30 yr old kid next week
― blueski, Wednesday, 7 May 2008 22:23 (sixteen years ago) link
Stevem a kidult? Never ;-)
I know people pay less than £30/month but yo am having to be in touch with lots of Americans, needed a nice phone ASAP and no landline at present. I think am just allergic to any PAYG plan, for anything, from having to deal with a KEY METER for electricity in a former flat. SHUDDER.
― suzy, Wednesday, 7 May 2008 22:37 (sixteen years ago) link
I need a contract but the fuckers want to charge me a 200 pound deposit to get one.

My dad told me that in his first job he accidentally sent some poor newsstand shmo a whole truckload of cigars by accidentally adding a zero or two.
