anyway, i try not not to do this, it really isn't worth the mental anguish, and i find that usually when i think of "what if..." situations they never happen, so now i usually rule things out if i happen to think of them, which probably is a dumb strategy but it's what i go with nowadays

What if all of what we call "the universe" is contained within a single atom of a still larger "universe", which is itself contained within another universe, etc - and on the other end, what if each atom in our universe contains other universes, and so on, infinitely regressed in both directions?
