btw this thread has personal relevance to methough hardly have any direct memory of this:my dad had beard for first few years of my life,but when i was around 4 he shaved his beard& i was completely freaked out— according to mom, inconsolable, wdn’t go near him, ‘you’re not my daddy’gradually, after a few days, came around (but apparently for some time transferred my fear/repulsion to other clean-shaven men)
