I'm not sure how long ago but certainly within the past year (maybe even under 6 months) I read a review of a book and got really excited about it. From the description it sounded like a George Saunders type deal, a collection of really strange, surreal short stories that sounded funny (but maybe they weren't). And this was not a debut, this author had been going for a little while. I know this isn't terribly descriptive but I do remember thinking the stuff reminded me of George Saunders (and it was not George Saunders).
Any clues?

Oh wait sorry, I didn't read the bit about it being in the last year. Carry on.
Incidentally I would be interested in finding this out too. Saunders is funny.

In any event thank you for that book, it's going on my list.

Thinking about it, it might've been a bit more experimental than funny but I can't remember. Come on readers help me out here.
