(i guessed before i saw where it was too - which can make a good "guess the city" candidate to see if others do the same
― cherry blossom, Monday, 8 November 2010 15:56 (thirteen years ago) link
i would have guessed california cuz kinda 'chill', and sf cuz it's old
but it's interesting how efficient these vague associations can be compared to the more deductive methods that failed to unearth my last city upthread

also 'small cities' in china have like 3-5 million people regularly, where do you think they fit that 1.2 billion

I thought france or belgium but that church looks almost baltic-ish. so no clue!
― Minnie The Minx, Monday, 4 April 2011 14:34 (thirteen years ago) link
the spire is very balticish
it isn't, but it's in a place with some architectural influence from the eastern hansa towns

Still think it might be Belgium but the bridges make me think it could be north east england, Berwick on tweed?
― Minnie The Minx, Monday, 4 April 2011 22:05 (thirteen years ago) link
none of those
― The Geirogeirgegege (nakhchivan), Monday, 4 April 2011 22:11 (thirteen years ago) link
I thought Berwick but its bridges aren't quite like that and the mountains in the distance are all wrong. Those awful buildings front right though, it really seems like Britain. Cars are on the left in the first picture too?

walked over that footbridge The Auld Brig so many times (used to live in the next town and went to secondary school in Ayr)
― Algerian Goalkeeper, Monday, 4 April 2011 23:30 (thirteen years ago) link
Never went in the sea though. All the glaswegians came to ayr & prestwick on warm summer days to the beaches but the locals never went in it, too much fucking seaweed and sewage, which is a shame, they could be really nice beaches if they spent the money on it.
